Current deposit rates are for the benefit of Big Horn Federal Customers or those individuals living within the bank's trade and/or market area. Based on Big Horn Federal's excess liquidity, the Patriot Act, our Customer Information Policy and our current Out of Area Deposit Policy, the bank will not accept deposits from outside our market area. These present policies require that you be a bonafide resident within our delineated market area which is the Big Horn Basin of North Central Wyoming.

If through due diligence, we find accounts which were opened from outside the bank's market area, those accounts will be closed and the funds returned to the depositor. If returned funds checks do not clear in a timely manner the proceeds will be escheated to the State of Wyoming.

CONSTRUCTION LOANS – Single Family & 1-4 Family

The interest rate on the construction phase is the same as the interest rate on the permanent financing that follows completion of construction. A 2.0% loan origination fee is charged on the construction phase and no loan fee is charged at the time of conversion to permanent financing. If permanent financing will not be provided by Big Horn Federal, the interest rate charged on the construction loan will be 1.5% above the 15 year fixed mortgage coupon rate. The maximum term for construction is 18 months, however most projects should be completed within 6 months. Interest is due monthly during construction. The maximum loan to value is 70%.
